Choosing a video bike-fitting workflow

Video bike fitting addresses the position of a rider on a bicycle: saddle height, reach, posture and how those choices interact while pedaling. It is a different purchase from a cycling training plan. MyVeloFit, BikeFit AI and Bike Fast Fit offer three ways to turn riding footage into position guidance, with important differences in mobility assessment, explanation, device support and payment periods.

MyVeloFit

MyVeloFit combines markerless riding-video analysis with rider information and a mobility assessment. The paid process supplies a detailed report and adjustment recommendations, helping someone work through changes rather than only read an angle. Its discipline selection includes road, gravel, mountain bike, triathlon, time trial and indoor exercise positions. That context is useful because a comfortable endurance posture and a time-trial position are not the same fitting target.

The rider plans distinguish a short project on one bike from ongoing access for a personal collection. A separate Expert Review adds feedback from a professional fitter, rather than presenting the automated report as a human consultation. MyVeloFit expects supported capture on a trainer or rollers. It can respond to position changes that follow a cleat adjustment, but does not directly prescribe cleat placement. Its best audience is a rider who wants a structured process and the option of escalating a difficult question to a person.

BikeFit AI

BikeFit AI, on bikefit-ia.com, uses video to examine joint positions, pedaling style and time spent in target angle ranges. It considers the rider's goal and bicycle geometry, then provides recommendations with an AI Coach available for follow-up discussion on paid plans. Being able to state the context before analysis is a useful distinction: a rider can explain the equipment change or position concern that prompted the recording.

Expert expands the simplified introductory report to detailed joint recommendations, a position score, progress tracking and multiple bike profiles. Pro adds AprilTag calibration and PDF reporting alongside a progressive web app. That calibration option provides a different capture route from an entirely markerless session. BikeFit AI suits someone who wants to ask why an adjustment was suggested and revisit it after another recording. It still relies on a usable side view on an indoor trainer; the conversational layer does not turn camera estimates into medical assessment.

Bike Fast Fit

Bike Fast Fit is an Apple-device product family with a clear progression of scope. EZ offers a quick saddle-height, saddle fore-aft and upper-body-position check from short pedaling footage. Elite expands the self-fitting toolkit with front-view analysis, additional measurements, the actual crank length, reports and a way to explore possible changes on screen. Pro adds client records, rear-view tools, live checks and branded before-and-after reporting for fitting businesses.

The apps use markerless tracking but still need a stationary bike or trainer and a suitable camera view. EZ assumes a 172.5mm crank, which makes Elite or Pro more appropriate when the actual crank differs and the exact recommendation matters. Bike Fast Fit is therefore more than one cheap app: the relevant comparison depends on whether the rider wants a quick check, a comprehensive personal fit or a client workflow. Its free Academy teaches the concepts separately from paid analysis access.

Mobility context and the explanation of an adjustment

MyVeloFit makes mobility assessment part of its paid guided process, connecting what the rider can comfortably do off the bike with the position observed while pedaling. BikeFit AI highlights joint-by-joint ranges and a conversational explanation informed by the rider's stated context. Bike Fast Fit organizes the experience around practical measurements and progressively richer tools as the edition changes.

That suggests three different preferences. Choose MyVeloFit when you want the software to lead a coherent fitting project. Choose BikeFit AI when follow-up questions about the report are central. Choose Bike Fast Fit Elite when you want to inspect the measurements and explore a possible change yourself. Its Pro edition makes sense when the records belong to multiple clients.

Capturing and revisiting your position

All three depend on footage of the rider pedaling in one place, rather than an action camera recording a ride outside. MyVeloFit provides a browser-based route using phone video. BikeFit AI also supports a browser workflow, with a PWA in Pro. Bike Fast Fit is Apple-only, so it is the least suitable option here for an Android or Windows household seeking one common capture tool.

Bike Fast Fit's reports and client comparison tools are particularly relevant to someone already working within that device environment. MyVeloFit's one-rider account structure makes its unlimited-bike plan a personal collection offer, not family access. BikeFit AI's multiple bike profiles likewise should be understood according to its account terms rather than assumed to be a professional multi-client license.

What the advertised prices actually buy

MyVeloFit Starter permits one fit upload weekly with basic results. Enthusiast is USD35 once for two weeks on one bike; Pro is USD75 each year for one rider's bikes. Expert Review starts at another USD75 and requires a paid plan. BikeFit AI gives one introductory analysis, then charges EUR19.99 monthly for Expert or EUR49.99 monthly for Pro.

Bike Fast Fit's current English offer lists US annual prices of USD4.99 for EZ, USD19.99 for Elite and USD99.99 for Pro. Localized copy and stores can differ, so confirm renewal in the intended store. A one-week EZ trial and a free app download do not mean free continuing fits. Comparing those annual charges with MyVeloFit's two-week purchase requires keeping the access period visible.

Which fitting approach fits?

Choose MyVeloFit for a guided rider project with optional expert review, BikeFit AI for contextual questions and joint detail, or Bike Fast Fit for Apple-based self-fitting and reporting. Match the edition to the adjustments and records you actually need.
