|---|---|---|---|
| SignalPET | Veterinary practices wanting context-aware reports with escalation in one workflow. | Immediate screening and Complete Report tiers · Clinical history and question context · Automatic escalation plus specialist reports | AI reports support the veterinarian; they are not equivalent to every specialist-signed review. |
| Vetology AI | Practices prioritizing predictable recurring AI screening costs. | Automatic DICOM image submission · Unlimited subscription AI reports · PACS/viewer and specialist escalation | AI screens canine/feline radiographs; CT/MRI/other species are separate specialist services. |
| Radimal | Clinics wanting image review and a specialist consultation workflow together. | Automatic preliminary X-ray assessments · Cloud image storage and viewer · Standard/STAT consultation requests and addenda | Initial Assessment is preliminary and does not cover every condition. |

Choose the report workflow, not an accuracy slogan
Veterinary teams need to distinguish an automated X-ray finding, a contextual report and a board-certified specialist consultation. SignalPET, Vetology and Radimal connect these layers differently. This comparison concerns canine/feline practice workflows, rather than human radiology triage or pet-owner photo diagnosis. The treating veterinarian interprets the findings in the patient's clinical context; this is a product comparison, not treatment guidance.
SignalPET
SignalPET separates its offer into Immediate Report screening, Complete Report and a traditional Radiologist Report. That structure lets a practice choose the depth of support for a case rather than treating every output as the same sort of read. Immediate screening provides fast visibility into supported radiographic findings.
Complete Report combines radiographs with signalment, clinical history, presentation and the clinician's questions. It produces a more contextual narrative with conclusions and recommended next steps. Under the current advertised Auto-Escalation policy, cases with insufficient AI confidence route to a board-certified radiologist without an additional escalation charge. That policy does not mean every AI report carries a specialist signature.
A separately ordered Radiologist Report provides that specialist review, including the AI report as context. SignalPET therefore suits a clinic wanting several report depths in one workflow, especially where clinical questions and patient history should shape the interpretation. Its published delivery windows and prices belong to specific tiers, rather than being one universal promise.
Vetology AI
Vetology AI emphasizes automatic screening at a predictable recurring cost. Its installation workflow configures DICOM-compatible equipment or an existing PACS to send radiographs to the cloud. The platform then produces structured findings, conclusions and recommendations for canine and feline images without requiring a separate purchasing decision for each AI study.
The bundle includes storage, a web viewer and PACS where needed. Vetology also lists practice-management and scribe integrations, helping a clinic connect imaging with its records. These functions matter when the operational goal is to review routine radiographs consistently instead of assembling several disconnected services.
Board-certified teleradiology remains a separate, on-demand service. Its broader modalities and species should not be attributed to the AI radiograph classifier. A veterinarian can escalate through the same platform, but the consultation has its own charge and turnaround. Vetology fits a practice prioritizing broad routine screening volume while retaining a specialist route for cases requiring a deeper interpretation.
Radimal
Radimal combines an Initial Assessment with image storage, a viewer and specialist consultations. The automated component reviews canine and feline X-rays and provides preliminary indications to support the general practitioner. Radimal's own help documentation describes it as limited in condition coverage and not definitive, a more useful scope statement than treating an AI assessment as a completed specialist read.
The consultation workflow lets clinicians select images, combine or compare linked cases, add history and distinguish report notes from private messages to the specialist. Possible indications from the Initial Assessment can be included or edited in the request. Standard and STAT choices show the final price before submission.
This is attractive when the team wants a continuing case conversation alongside the image record. Addenda and follow-up communication remain connected to the consultation. Current observed delivery averages on the homepage should be distinguished from the stated standard/urgent service targets; neither supplies a guaranteed turnaround for every kind of study.
How the AI and specialist layers differ
SignalPET explicitly offers three report tiers and automatic escalation within its Complete Report policy. Vetology pairs unlimited AI screening with separately charged specialist reads. Radimal pairs preliminary indications with a consultation request that the clinician completes using the case record. These are different ways to move from a flagged image to professional review.
SignalPET's confidence-triggered escalation can reduce a manual routing step for qualifying cases. Vetology leaves the specialist decision within a subscription screening workflow. Radimal exposes the clinical request and notes as part of case management. An AI report in any of these products should not be described as a specialist signature unless that review actually occurred.
Image handling and clinical context
Vetology makes automatic DICOM submission, PACS and integrations central to its offer. Radimal highlights the image viewer, linked-case selection and specialist request details. SignalPET makes clinical history and the clinician's questions central to Complete Report. All three connect imaging to a wider workflow, but their emphasized starting points differ.
For a practice standardizing routine image intake, Vetology's automation is particularly relevant. For a team building a contextual report request, SignalPET's Complete tier or Radimal's consultation form may be more aligned. Species, modality and report scope must still be matched to the actual service, rather than inferred from a broad platform description.
Subscription screening versus case charges
Vetology publishes a monthly unlimited AI bundle, while its specialist reads are separate per-case purchases. SignalPET advertises per-study Complete and Radiologist reports, with some clinic-specific charges still unconfirmed. Radimal's current clinic price requires a quote, and its consultation form displays a case price after selecting timing.
That makes study volume relevant to cost, but it does not establish a reliable break-even calculation without equivalent scopes and actual clinic quotes. Radimal's separately advertised Reader offer serves radiologists and is not a clinic specialist fee. Trial reports and introductions likewise do not create a permanent free clinical service.
Which should you choose?
Choose SignalPET for tiered contextual reports and its stated automatic-escalation workflow. Choose Vetology for predictable subscription AI screening with a separate specialist route. Choose Radimal for preliminary image support connected to specialist case requests and follow-up. Decide using the report type your practice needs, with current clinic-specific terms confirmed.
